Like a shooter game, it’s viewed from the first-person perspective. When you play the game, you’ll be drawn into a realistic 3D scene where the walls and exposed surfaces of a virtual home are crumbling apart. For better or worse, its approach to refurbishment is incredibly streamlined and simplistic.
Showers, toilets, radiators, and sinks need a little more physical labour - you must manually click and hold your mouse on individual components to piece them together bit by little - but that’s about as difficult as House Flipper gets. You’ll pick up garbage, vacuum insects, stab stains with your mop, scrub windows, plaster holes, and repair burnt-out electrical outlets, among other micro-tasks. It’s up to you to keep everything looking spotless (or at least get everything to an adequate-enough state so you can turn a profit). The filth on exhibit is both astounding and amusing at the same time. (We do exist!) The majority of starter houses are littered from floor to ceiling and caked in dirt in areas I had no idea stains could reach.
